Trust me on this one, I’ve found it. The skin-care routine which will not only give you max results but, it’s simplistic and doesn’t require 10 steps and a million different products.

I have found this routine by following a few different dermatologists on socials and trialing all their different advice until I found the perfect routine.

AM – Step 1 | Step 2 | Step 3 | Step 4 // PM – Step 1 | Step 2a 2b 2c | Step 3 | Step 4

MORNING

Step 1.

Cleanser

Step 2.

Vitamin C serum – this brightens your face.

Step 3.

Moisturiser

Step 4.

SPF – even if you live in the UK, as the sun can damage your skin and cause premature ageing. Personally I don’t bother with this step once the clocks have gone back until they go back forward as I feel we don’t have enough sun.

EVENING

Step 1.

Cleanser

Step 2.

This step varies as here you will cycle three different products.

Night 1 – recovery, Night 2 – exfoliate, Night 3 – retinol*, Night 4 – recovery.

*You cannot use retinol if you are pregnant of breastfeeding. As I am currently still nursing I just do 3 recovery days with the exfoliator.

Step 3.

Eye cream

Step 4.

A thicker moisturiser than what you used this morning.

Products I use

Personally I am one of these people whereby when I find a brand I like, I try everything from them and if I like it I won’t try any other products. I used to be a Clarins girl for everything but then I learnt about the toxins that many skin products have. Putting those toxins onto our skin, the largest organ, can disrupt our endocrine system, causing hormonal issues. It was then that I decided to have a look for something cleaner.

I found Summer Fridays a few years ago as they are a clean brand and started with their jet lag mask. Within the first couple of uses, I fell in love and I now use most of my routine from them and as I’m running out of products I’m switching over.

Hope this helps

Claire xx
