Eating in season is a really easy and convenient way to get extra nutrients into your diet. Some of the benefits include; the produce tastes better, usually your produce is cheaper, the produce is fresher and has less of a carbon footprint getting to you. I wrote a post on this which you can read here!

I recently got a punnet of strawberries from the supermarket (despite knowing they aren’t in season I have just been craving more fruits and veg) and they tasted awful so hard and not much flavour. Even Lola wouldn’t eat them and she’s usually stealing the strawberries off my Dad’s veg patch every year. But it really made me appreciate seasonal fruits and veg even more. I really hope you enjoyed this post.

Check in with me and show me your farmers markets purchases this week on instagram.

I’m most excited for this Spring, with the recent lockdowns I feel this Spring is filled with hope. I really hope that this vaccine is effect as the initial studies show (and safe) so that we can resume normal life.
