National Coffee day is in two days. As you know, I’m a coffee lover so I wanted to bring you something which has coffee as a main ingredient but is also fun! Fun fact, until I did my degree I hated coffee, but then it started powering me through and now I love it! If you love coffee then you’ll know what I mean when I say that this time of the year coffee is needed for basic function. Bring back the longer days already! Anyway this recipe is one of the most simplistic of it’s kind. Affogato – It means drowning in Italian. So you take a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream (or in my case vanilla Fro-Yo) and drown it in warm coffee, sounds like a dream. Tastes like one too! I’ve added a little twist to ours by adding cacao nibs. Its perfetto (perfect in Italian)!
Lets Get To It
3 tbsp Vanilla Fro Yo (we used YooMoo)
2 shots Espresso
1 small cup Coffee
1 tsp Cacao Nibs
1 Add your fro-yo to a serving bowl or cup and sprinkle with cacao nibs. Then pour the warm coffee or espresso on top and enjoy!
